Victoria Anderson
CEO
Passionate about improving social mobility in the legal profession, Victoria sets the strategic direction of the charity to ensure the maximum impact on the students it works with. Outside of BVL, Victoria is a Director and solicitor at Schillings International LLP, specialising in privacy law and reputation management.
Felix Schulte-Strathaus
Chair
Felix is an Associate solicitor at Eversheds Sutherland. He joined the BVL management board in June 2020, after many years volunteering with the charity.
Asma Abbarova
Vice Chair
Asma is currently training to become a Trademark Attorney at Kilburn & Strode. She obtained her LLB from the University of Kent in 2015 and her LLM in Media Law at Queen Mary, University of London in 2016. As Vice Chair, she hopes to motivate the students and help them realise their potential in their pursuit of a career in law.
Adrianna Wit
Secretary
Having moved to the UK to pursue her legal studies, Adrianna has faced challenges, exposure to which has developed her passion for improving social mobility. Now as an Associate solicitor working at Pinsent Masons, she is committed to helping and motivating young people to pursue a legal career in her capacity as board member at BVL.
Sophie Tenn
Treasurer
As a Board Member and former Senior Coordinator, Sophie provides guidance to the Board on developing the charity and ensuring the best possible experience for the students. Alongside her work with BVL, Sophie is an Associate solicitor specialising in Global Loans at Ashurst.
Dana Satoc
Board member
Dana recently completed her LLB from the LSE. Currently, she helps to support socially mobile young people in her capacity as a Senior Coordinator and Board Member with BVL.
Samuel McCann
Board Member
Samuel is a barrister, with a specialism in tax, particularly at its intersection with crime. He is employed in house at BCL Solicitors. Samuel is a former teacher and Teach First Ambassador, with a passion for broadening access to the legal profession. Samuel has been volunteering for the charity since 2015.
Rachel Woodward
Board member
Rachel is a Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, specialising in Healthcare and Human Rights. She joined the BVL management board in 2023, after having volunteered with the charity since 2021. She is passionate about improving social mobility within the legal profession and ensuring that all students, regardless of their background, have opportunities to succeed.
Chaya Gupta
Board member
Chaya is a Senior Associate solicitor specialising in Banking and Finance in Clyde & Co's Dubai office. Alongside her work as a solicitor, Chaya is keen to give back to the industry as a board member for BVL. Born in India, she grew up in Dubai before moving to London. Having completed her LLB at Queen Mary, University of London, she pursued an LLM in International Business Law at LSE.
Fatima Aamir
Board member
Through her own experience of completing her legal studies, Fatima learned how important it is for students to have an understanding of the legal profession prior to enrolling in university. She therefore joined BVL with the aim of inspiring young people and improving social mobility in the legal industry. When she's not volunteering for BVL, Fatima works as an Audit Senior Associate at a Big 4 firm.
